Picasa

So Picasa is not really new but I have only recently discovered some of its uses. All this is largely due to the fact that I've started this blog. More and more software are capitalizing on the access to the internet and are building features into their applications that were never there before. In this instance nice new features is how one can upload images directly from picasa into your blog and in my previous post I actually made use of the method. Not only that, you can now very easily create slide shows and video from you pictures. So, if you are not a photoshop guru then Picasa 3 is a really great tool especially if you have tons of pictures just laying around. I think next they will probably add more basic video editing capabilities that will make it a perfect one-stop shop for citizen media. Here's a quick thought...Popular culture in sports amongst adrenaline junkies always refers to xtreme sport. Why aren't we making use of the term xlearning (extreme learning) for really innovative teaching and learning approaches. I think it gives learning a bit of an edge.
