"Tech to the People"


A friend recently sent me these pictures about a bus in Japan. I thought it was pretty cool and wonder if we have something similar here in South Africa. It would be great and can you imagine taking this bus to rural areas? I love the idea.
Inside it is equipped with state of the art computers. It is literally a mobile lab or perhaps a lab on wheels. We can take the technology to the people. I know the concept is not really knew. Back when computers were first introduced to UWC we had a similar bus that did outreach work to schools. Not quite sure what happened to the bus or the outreach programme but I definitely think it is something that we should embark upon again.
