If you like the look of my blog I am trying out the new template designer that is now also available to all blogspot users. It allows for a lot more customization possibilities much like with "MySpace" even though I haven't ever used "MySpace". I like the template options that they give even though I look forward to be able to use my own designs in future. I think it gives the user a lot more creative outlet with their blogs especially if you are thinking of using it in teaching and learning. I had one of our students asking what she actually learnt through blogging and for me it is about choosing what I make public and what not too. So in short, it really is about how to manage a "public" profile.
On a lighter note. Want to know an inexpensive way of turning your PowerPoint presentation into a video clip? Screenrecording of course. Camstudio is a free software package that allows you to capture whatever you do on your desktop. You can speak to your PPt while running the recording. By default it records into AVI format and is capable of exporting to SWF file formats for web delivery. However, when one starts to convert to other format one should be careful about synchronization of audio.
